Message This morning I drove the Z to work- 45 miles at 80mph on the highway. At the stop light at the end of the off-ramp, I noticed
that it was tough to shift from neutral into first. The shifter was a little notchy all the way from the off-ramp to work.

On the way home, getting off the offramp after the highway part of my ride, same thing. This time, though, I got to a stop light
and COULD NOT shift into gear. I ended up having to slam the gearshift into first- something ground, and I managed to get
moving and pull off into a parking lot.

I couldn't start the car with the shifter in first and my foot all the way in on the clutch, and I had to really work to get it back
into neutral. I called AAA for a tow and by the time he got there 40 minutes later, the car started right up and shifted without
any trouble.

Anyone have any ideas? Why whould this happen when warm and not when cold? Any help is appreciated prior to me taking
car to dealer to have it looked at.
